I am bad...

Okay I am bad, I haven't worked out since my last post..maybe I have.. its been a week (tomorrow) since I've worked out. Sad. I may not even be able to do the 1/2 marathon now because when its scheduled is the weekend of the car show (one of Colvin's busiest weekends) So, I am going to have to post pone the marathon for another that will be in November in Seattle. I will keep everyone up to day.

Day three.

So I know its only been three days since I started, but I am skipping out today and going in the morning. I work up with a bad head ache and my clothes weren't even dry this morning to go to the gym.

I am head to work, maybe I will go after work depending on how I feel. But as of right now, no go on the gym.

Day Two..much easier!

Okay, even though it is only day two of me whipping my ass into shape, I feel much better than I did last night after working out. Tonight I did an hour. I jogged/ran for a total of six minutes straight tonight, a heck of a lot better than last night with only doing it for two minutes straight. (totally running/jogging for 30 minutes) I also sat on the bike and did that for 15 minutes. (that really killed my knee, I am going to have to go and get a brace for my left knee.)

Then I worked on the weights for about 30 minutes. Then the gym filled up so I left. HAHA. nice, right?

Once I register for the race next week (you know after I get paid) you can FOLLOW me and get updates via cell phone of how I am doing.

Also, I have decided to run for a camp called Camp Korey, children that are terminally ill are near and dear to my heart. After watching my Best Friend be diagnosed with Cancer when she was only 15 years old. I am not sure yet what I will donate if it will be time, or if I will donate money. I encourage all of my family and friends to at least donate 20 dollars or even more!

Today Sucked! day 1

Okay, so I ran/jogged/walked for about 40 minutes today. Keep in mind I have not worked out since October. It was rough. REAL ROUGH, but sweating like I did lets me know I did get a work out.

I am looking forward to doing this marathon.

This is my plan for the first month and half of training/conditioning. To lift weights, run at least forty minutes a day. Lifting weights tomorrow and a little running on the treadmill. I totally forgot to weigh myself tonight before I started, will do tomorrow.

No more soda for me, I ate my last cookie today. =)

I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow while in Longview so I will pick up some healthy food.

For dinner tomorrow, I think we'll have baked chicken, rice and vegetables. <--love LOVE veggies!

First Half Marathon

Hi.

Most of you know who I am but in case you don't my name is Dani. I have decided to run my first Half Marathon this year in Seattle, Washington, on June 26th at the Rock N' Roll Marathon and 1/2. I will start my training tomorrow at Anytime Fitness in Clatskanie, Oregon.

My goal here is to just get into shape and to finish the race. Which is part of my new years resolution of working out at least two or three times a week. I will post my workout...well running schedule later.
